Medisch Contact: The uncertain future of the world’s largest isotope producer

26 October 2017

Medisch Contact – the medical journal of the Netherlands – has published an article on the future of medical isotopes:
‘De wankele toekomst van ‘s werelds grootste isotopenproducent’ (in English: The uncertain future of the world’s largest isotope producer).

Medical isotopes are indispensable in the diagnosis of many diseases and have also increasing clinical applications. The reactor in the North Holland Petten serves a large part of the world market. But the reactor is outdated and new construction is not self-evident.

The complete article (in Dutch) can be read on the website of Medisch Contact: https://www.medischcontact.nl/nieuws/laatste-nieuws/artikel/de-wankele-toekomst-van-s-werelds-grootste-isotopenproducent.htm
