Opening new access road PALLAS construction site

Thursday 22 December, the new access road to the PALLAS building site has been made accessible for construction traffic.
The opening of the road marks the start of the PALLAS pit & foundation phase.
The road will be used for the preparatory works of the PALLAS-reactor. In the summer of 2023 the road will open as the main building road.
Symbolically, the newly (re-)opened road is the former access road to the HFR that was used in the 60’s.
The entrance is located approximately 750m from the main entrance to the Energy & Health Campus to the north along the Westerduinweg. The layout of the entrance helps to prevent any disruptions to the general traffic.
The new entrance will be marked by the sign “Construction Traffic PALLAS”.
