PALLAS’ milestones

23 December 2021

We asked a number of colleagues to reflect on the milestones we have achieved in recent years. A personal look at the progress we’ve made.

The objective of the Foundation Preparation Pallas-reactor (PALLAS) is to build a new, multipurpose reactor for the production of (medical) isotopes, and to perform high-end technological research. The new reactor will replace the outdated High Flux Reactor in Petten. In addition to an increasing demand for irradiated medical isotopes, there is also an urgent need for production facilities where irradiated raw materials can be processed into semi-finished products (radiochemicals) and medicines (radiopharmaceuticals) at the request of hospitals or pharmaceutical companies. Hence the initiative of PALLAS to build the Nuclear Health Centre (NHC) in Petten.

In the Focus on PALLAS, there is a complete overview of all milestones. You can find that overview here.
