Asset Manager
Over de functie
Your main goals is to ensure that the PALLAS-reactor can meet its industry-leading target of 300 safe, full production days per annum. This means defining, developing and implementing an Asset Management System based on ISO 55000 and an Asset Management Organization (including, eventually, the maintenance and support department). This begins with drafting the Strategic Asset Management Plan and defining specific asset management principles and approaches suitable for a nuclear production facility.
By holding the role of Intelligent Customer you will be working closely together with our own Engineering Department and our engineering contractor (ICHOS) to deliver individual asset management, maintenance, inspection and testing plans for all PALLAS assets following the strategy you define. These assets vary from hot cell production facilities to office buildings to a state of the art nuclear reactor. You will have a role in equipment selection and procurement from an asset management perspective.
You will also have a close collaboration with our colleagues of NRG; in enabling the conduit of recent HFR experience into PALLAS, and in assuring that Asset Management Resources are shared as much as possible. For that you need to maintain an overview of the domain - incl. the engineering progress - to ensure they are involved in the right discussions, coordinating and “filtering” review feedback from other departments (e.g. operations), so that the information provided to ICHOS and used internally is consistent and coherent with the strategy and plans for the domain.
Your profile
Experience in the nuclear industry is an advantage, but not a requirement. You should however have a knowledge of current Dutch/Western European practice in nuclear, process, energy or similar industries.
And preferably you are already living in North-Holland, but do apply if you are willing to relocate to the Alkmaar region. Furthermore you:
- Hold relevant technical bachelors degree;
- Have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (practical as well as theoretical);
- Know all about ISO 55000 and reliability-centred maintenance;
- Master English on a professional level.
What we offer
PALLAS offers you a solid package: a competitive salary with holidays allowance, pension scheme and coverage of your commuting costs. And also a business phone and laptop.
You will be offered all necessary training to become and remain suitably qualified. And you will be supported in your personal development as PALLAS considers sustainable employability important for its employees. You will experience that the work has a high degree of variation and challenges, with many opportunities to learn and grow.
Joining PALLAS means joining a vibrant international community of professionals with experts from all over the world. Each using their expertise to elevate the project and each other to the next level.
Over PALLAS
At our office in Alkmaar, over 100 (nuclear) specialists from more than 20 countries are working on the realization of PALLAS; a 'state-of-the-art' multifunctional nuclear reactor, to be built in the dunes of Petten, just 60 km’s north of Amsterdam. With this new build we secure 30% of the world’s production of medical isotopes for the next 50 years. These isotopes are used for diagnosis and treatment of 30.000 patients a day worldwide, that suffer from life-threatening diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular conditions. And by carrying out various nuclear technological research programs, the PALLAS-reactor will also contribute to the development of CO2-free energy supply.
Operational Readiness makes all necessary preparations to commission and operate the PALLAS production facility; from Information (BIM) and Commissioning Management to building the actual operations and maintenance team. Due to entering the Detailed Design stage of the project, Operational Readiness would like to onboard an experienced Asset Manager who has the ambition to design an Asset Management programme that carries the PALLAS reactor throughout the whole expected lifecycle of more than 50 years.
